Winton 6ft flail mower.
Flail mowers are perfect for keeping long grass and overgrown areas tidy, much smaller clippings come out the back which rot away quickly, toppers can leave cuttings in lines but flail mowers scatter across the full width of the machine. Thistles and nettles are taken care of as well and will be chopped to pieces. The machine runs on a height adjustable rear roller and will follow the contours of the ground so the end result is a very clean cut. These machines have cast iron hammer flails which provide high inertia to help them power through the tough stuff with relatively low HP requirement. Toothed V-belts drive for reliability.The 6ft has a nice offset so handy for getting up close to fences and trees. Ideally suited to 25hp upwards but have been fitted to machines with 20hp.
