New Idea grain elevator, I am listing this on behalf of a relative, The elevator hasn`t been used for a while (as dust shows) but it is still in working order, as can be seen in the photo`s it is kept at the back of one of the barns due to not being used anymore, He thinks its from around 1965 which is probably right as I remember seeing it being used on the farm when I was a lot younger, The elevator is made from galvanised steel and is approx 37` long and the chassis is steel, the flights are also made from galvanised steel and the chain is coventry link,The p.t.o suits Dexta & Fordson or similar tractors,He used to power it using a fordson major when it was being used, it is on pnuematic tyres which are in good condition, has some wear as you would expect for a piece of machinery this age but still does the job,due to the length of the elevator it would probably be best collected on a lorry but if it was only going a short distance it could possibly be towed as long as you had an escort vehicle following behind.For anymore info please ask. I work long hours Sun-Weds so any messages received these days will be return as soon as I get home (which could be late evening) Due to the current situation viewing is a bit awkward at the moment but item could probably be viewed on Thur/Fri if arranged in advance.
