PARMITER 18ft ZIG ZAG HARROWS
Up for sale are these Parmiter zig zag seed harrows.Total working width is 18 foot. With wings folded up in the transport position the width is 7ft. Two harrow mats in the central section and two mats on each outer wing. Every single point is present, the vast majority are straight and they all have loads of life left in them – in fact some are brand new! Two mats have a slight twist to them, however all link bars are present.
Because this is a manual lift set, I have modified the two outer harrow mats. These now have quick release bolts as shown in the pics. Once removed, the two outer mats are placed on top the centre ones, making the outer wings much easier to raise. The two outer support chains are then joined using one of the D-shackles and can be used as a transport safety chain.
These harrows have been through the workshop and all the hanging chains have been replaced with thicker new galvanised ones. All 24 worn M16 hanging bolts & nuts have also been replaced with new ones, as have the 6 D-shackles.There’s also two helpful homemade prop stands fitted – see pic.
The 3-point linkage is designed to accept Cat.2 linkage pins.Implement is ready to go straight to work.This would make a useful tool on the farm for seedbed preparation, or on a small holding for spreading muck or harrowing grass paddocks – a bit more aggressive than regular chain harrows.
Loading with telehandler is available, however a suitable collection day & time would need to be agreed.Harrows are located in the village of Avebury in Wiltshire (SN8).There is no vat to be added to this sale. Cash on collection only please !
