It’s rough.SPARES OR REPAIRS.
The good bits:it’s got a good battery.Polaris 420 4×4 diesel quad (not sure if this is a 420 or a 455).The engine starts on first turn and is clean-running.It has gears and goes forward and backwards.The engine starts and pulls well enough : fairly clean-running, running in the photographs.
The bad bits:NO BRAKES. (But has “Engine Braking System”).Showing 10,759 miles but speedo not working.The lights switch works but needs gentle touch to get headlight on.The “NOT IN GEAR LIGHT” IS ON ALL THE TIME.THERE IS NO FEEL AT ALL IN THE HAND/PAKING BRAKE OR IN THE FOOT BREAK PEDAL. NO BRAKES AT ALL. The mechanism is properly seized and will have been for some time.NEEDS NEW TYRES ALL ROUND.STEERING HEAVY (May be poor tyres and Tarmac??).
Not sure on year but air filter cover is stamped 10/1/98.It has Product Number DW460PLE07M4794 on it. Not sure if it’s a Serial Number.
This has been used without independent brakes for some time relying on the EBS Engine Braking System.Travels fine on the gears – Automatic Dual Sensing system.
