Bamfords Rapid Mill 1C Hopper

This is a steel plate hopper with it’s support system taken from a Bamfords Rapid Mill Model 1C (it would likely fit other Bamfords mills please check)

These mills would have had a wooden hopper but these usually rot away over time or get broken. They are usually replaced by a blacksmith made metal hopper which has happened in this case. It comes with it’s ancillary parts, cast hopper bottom piece which holds the shaker box adjustment handle and the shaker box bracket and mounting arms.

The cast lower half has been broken at some time in it’s life but this could be easily plated.

Please note: I have removed the nut, Thackery washer and split pin from the shaker box handle as indicated on one of the photographs but have replaced the nut with one from the parts box.

The whole thing is rusty as can be seen but this is expected when equipment like this spends a long time outside in the farmyard. It would clean up nicely or have it shot/sand blasted. There are no holes in the hopper itself which is still strong.

This item is HEAVY so it is collect only or send your own courier.
