Tractor Universal Coupler. Barn Find . Item 37. Condition is For parts or not working.
This does still pivot freely, some corrosion, but feels fairly solid still, that’s only reason for described not working. Have a good look at photos. The red plastic protective sleeve has brand ATKO and a part no ST 1045.
I photographed a close up of number embossed on the metal of the coupler itself, can’t make it out . Have a look.
Low start price so worth trying.
Part of my Uncle’s collection of things. He designed and manufactured tractor and dumper truck transmissions, gearboxes and clutches, lots for agricultural equipment in general. For Albion engineering and eventually had his own two factories doing the same.So no doubt used this in demonstrations and tests in his work.
Likely to be a vintage item as he worked 1940’s until 2000.
